The integration of the new generation of information technology with transport and urban governance has ushered us into a new era when people’s travelling and our cities will be reshaped. In the next decade, the rapid technological innovation in transportation around the world will be witnessed and more concepts such as mobility as a service, shared mobility and automated transportation will be emerged. In this context, it will be crucial for us to think further: what new concepts and modes of transportation will be revolutionary in the future? What revolutionary transformation and changes will be brought to our cities by these new concepts in the future?

The instability of supply chain caused by various uncertain factors will cause serious problems to all stakeholders. People have made various efforts in order to make logistics and transportation smooth and to overcome labor shortages. All these are highly in need of technologies to reduce risks and upgrade the outdated traditional systems. This session will discuss how to use digital and intelligent technologies to achieve green and robust supply chains and guarantee the profitability of enterprises in the context of increasingly strict emission requirements and cost control.

In order to realize the equality and efficiency of transportation, the binding policies and standards should be developed while the information technology being fully deployed so as to promote effective connectivity and accessibility to all modes of transport. Meanwhile, the balance between the public and private sectors should also be carefully considered.
